How to export KakaoTalk chat on PC
- Open a chat room in KakaoTalk on PC
- Click the hamburger menu (≡) at the top right
- Click Chats > Export Chats (Ctrl+S)
- Set filename and download
On KakaoTalk for Mac: menu (≡) → Chat Room Settings → Manage Chat History → Save as Text File. Despite the button name it saves a .csv file — upload it as is.
When is TalkCut useful?
It helps when a group chat has piled up for days and you only want the conclusions, when you need the decisions and action items out of a project room, or when you want just the announcements from a club or parents' chat. The narrower the date range and speaker list, the better the summary.
Is my chat data sent anywhere?
No. Parsing and extraction run entirely inside your browser, and there is no path for chat content to reach a TalkCut server. Closing the browser clears the data. Note that once you paste the extracted text into an AI service such as ChatGPT, that service's privacy policy applies — for sensitive conversations, narrow the date range and speakers so you paste only what you need.
